Light it Up!

Why wait for cold temperatures, when you can create your own winter wonderland?

We love this icicle-inspired look from HGTV bringing to life the illusion of snow-covered peaks to the roof.

Lighted walkways add extra warmth to the exterior of the home, allowing guests and carolers to walk safely with a clear view from driveway to door.

It’s all in the details, with this simple lighting installation from Architecture Art Designs.

Mixed light sources illuminate the landscape. Color and icicle string lights hang from trees and shrubs, while the home exterior is accented with subtle pendant lights along the roof, drawing attention to the shape of the home.

Of course, we must mention the dazzling decor being displayed at Signature Homes. Owner/Founder, Tom Maloney, incorporates unique gold lights on trees and shrubbery surrounding his home, providing warmth to the exterior, while windows appointed by candle lights emit a subtle glow. We also love the ambiance of shed lighting, bringing the landscape of the yard to life with Christmas spirit.

Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree

Tom Maloney’s Christmas tree sparkles light against the vaulted ceiling and through a wall of sash window panes beautifully. This room and design layout is perfect for a classic Christmas tree and is easy to coordinate with other decor.

White lights keep the glow of the room warm, while the tree skirt accented with large red decorations, energizes earth tones in the tile flooring.

This frosty favorite from Blinds Galore maximizes a modern look in a family room accented by french doors that lead to an outdoor patio. The ease of access to this room and plethora of windows make it the perfect gathering space for the holidays. Though the ceilings aren’t vaulted here, the raised curtain rod gives the room more height and creates plenty of space for the tree to inhabit.

Natural light radiates through windows, bouncing softly off of hardwood floors to bring a Silver Bells and White Christmas energy to home decor. Icy blue and spiraling white ornaments maintain a winter wonderland vibe, complete with a snowflake tree topper.

Even the wrapping paper glows against the natural light of the room to complement muted tones of silver, white, and gold.

Cooking up Christmas

We love this simple, yet festive holiday kitchen layout from Country Living.

The kitchen plays on its own strengths by incorporating greenery with the rustic feel of natural hardwood, accented with bright red and silver pops of color. The contrast of the stark white cabinets with the rustic flooring and island table allows the room to be catered to multiple decor styles.

Plus, the built-in custom shelving provides tons of room for festive knick-knacks. The kitchen appliances, hood fan, lighting elements, and island countertop provide sophisticated silver accents to complement the decor used throughout the room.

This Good Housekeeping kitchen layout offers a strong Silver Bells theme. The subtle silver reindeer on the window and festive window banner emit a tinsel-clad cheer while a touch of red in the poinsettias, towel and festive plate bring just a hint of holly jolly to the room.

The colors play well in the icy white kitchen to maintain its clean and simple appearance. The abundant black countertops bring a nice contrast while also providing ample cooking space for the busy holidays.

Shower Yourself in Christmas Cheer

This bathroom design from Curated Interior is rustic and cozy.

The steel gray door and vanity drawers play well with the greenery and hints of red. The stocking on the door gives an especially snuggly feel and the red truck toting the Christmas tree in the wall art keeps up a back-woods, outdoorsy feel.

Keeping colors simple and decorations minimal allows this small bathroom to feel more spacious. The busy floor pattern helps to warm the room when set against cool colors.

Live Up Christmas in the Living Room!

This living room layout inspired by Lowe’s is perfect for a holiday get together.

The ample seating and proximity to the dining room table provide plenty of space for family and friends to gather. The Christmas reds work well against the light grays and marbled whites in the room to create eye-catching moments like the one along the fireplace.

The layout allows space for the frosty tree to sit to the side, making the people themselves the focus of this festive space. Lastly, the built-in bookshelves set at various heights allow several decorations to be tastefully displayed.

Descend into the Holiday Spirit

Tom Maloney’s holiday staircase decor positions poinsettias and nutcrackers along wide-set stairs, with plenty of space to navigate up and down.

The L-shaped layout provides a spot for more decor as you ascend the staircase, and the open banister and high ceilings permit ample space for another tree that can be seen from the foyer as guests are welcomed into the home.
